ACHS senior Paige R. has served as the Northwest Region FFA President for North Carolina this past year. She & fellow ACHS FFA members (w/Nikki Eason, ACHS FFA Advisor) attended the NW Region FFA Rally at Wilkes Community College, where she passed the gavel to the new president.

ACHS FFA students with advisor Nikki Eason were a part of the grand opening of the new Ashe County Ag Campus & Livestock Center last Friday! FFA members showcased chicks, ducklings, & a favorite hen named “Angie.” It was a fun morning full of farm life & community spirit.

Mrs. Finley’s Apparel classes got colorful & creative with a tie-dye project! Students explored fibers, fabrics, & finishes while experimenting with vibrant dyes & rubber band techniques. This fun lab also gave them a first-hand look at how different textiles absorb color.

Congrats to Senior Hayden G.! Hayden is the recipient of a $1000 scholarship from Ashe/Alleghany Homebuilders Association. A triple CTE completer, he plans to do a summer internship with Skyline/Skybest & then attend Wilkes Community College for Electrical Systems Technology.
