As scientists, Grasshopper class have dissected seeds to investigate what is inside. They identified the seed coat, food store and the parts the grow into the roots and the stem and leaves. They were super observant! Waterton Science

Year 1 have had a fabulous day learning about Victorians at Abbey House Museum. All of the children have been a credit to Crofton Infants’ School.

Grasshoppers enjoyed their reading café today. They shared their books with their grown ups whilst having juice and a biscuit.

Our Eco warriors from Reception have done a fantastic job litter picking around the village this afternoon. They also tidied the garden area and found two eggs in the hen house waiting for them💚🐔

After watering the plants in the garden area and planting more seeds, the eco warriors enjoyed doing some leaf art at our after school club today.

In our computer lessons, Grasshopper Class have been making digital music. Today they created rhythms to match different animals.

Pyjamarama day in Grasshopper Class. Children celebrated the love of books and reading by bringing in their favourite stories and sharing them with their friends.

We have enjoyed our last Eco Club after school today. The child have been printing leaves in clay to look at the different patterns. They have also made either a cress head or a cress caterpillar.

What a beautiful day yesterday was for a booknic 📚 Reception shared their special stories from home and enjoyed some snacks under the sun🌞

For 'Wear it Wild Day' today we learnt about the work of the WWF. We were also lucky enough to have a special visitor to come and talk to us about bees. We learnt all about bees. We found out that they are sadly 'at risk' but we now know how to try and protect them. 🐝

Today we have been celebrating World Oceans Day. As scientists, we discovered how vital the oceans are and what we can do to help protect them. The children created posters and explained to the class the important messages on them.

A group of ten children from Year 2 represented our school at the 'Matlympics' today and had lots of fun taking part in lots of different activities. Well done Team Crofton!

Grasshoppers have been working really hard finishing off their puppets this afternoon. They showed lots of resilience and have produced some wonderful designs.

A perfect day for a farm visit! 🌞 In reception, we have been on a visit to Cannon Hall Farm. The children have enjoyed a tractor ride, looking at all the animals and a delicious ice-cream 🍦
