The Chesapeake Career Center was surprised yesterday with four Instructional Innovations Grants! First up is a $1,496.99 grant for Kimberly Little to "Enhance Dental Assisting Training through Interactive Learning Tools." 🦷 Thank you to TowneBank for sponsoring this opportunity.

Rosilyn Givens-Tennessee is another one of our Chesapeake Career Center grant winners! She was surprised with a $1,465.66 grant that will allow her students to "Create Beauty through Haircuts." ✂

The Pharmacy Tech program at the Chesapeake Career Center will benefit from a $755.95 grant presented to Nysheena Kello! She plans to use the grant to help students learn how to provide immunizations by using skin simulation pads. 💉

The last grant presented to the Chesapeake Career Center went to Abe Sells! He plans to use his $1,325.00 grant to purchase additional equipment for his students to practice welding in their collision shop in order to pass their I-CAR industry standards. 🚗

It was a busy week for the foundation! Special thanks to our Board Chair Chris Crouch for being on hand Thursday night at the Chesapeake Career Center Signing Day to award $1,000 to each of our seven outstanding J. A. Cotton Career Scholars! Good luck as you embark on your career! 🎓
