Did you see the size of the 2,492-carat diamond that's been found! Never to be outdone, this is the world's largest known crystal of Liroconite, found in 1808, Wheal Gorland. Slightly more boutique in nature than the fist-sized diamond but it is a striking, deep-blue colour.

This copper alloy bowl is about 2000 years old and was found at Higher Youlton Farm near Bodmin, in a bog. This bowl is particularly special because it's so well preserved, and remarkably intact, no doubt thanks to being safely nestled in a bog for so many years.

RNLI: 200 Years of Saving Lives at Sea includes historic photographs, crew kit and equipment, shipwreck stories and artefacts from the museum collection. Also on display are paintings from Kurt Jackson’s RNLI Cornwall series of work, and artwork by Henry Scott Tuke.
