The people arguing for free busses don't seem to engage with the idea that MTA funding is finite. It doesn't matter if the MTA doubles or triples its current budget, subway expansion will always be a better use of funds.

The bikes are buried in snow. The sidewalks turn into ice rinks. Lyft, the multi-billion-dollar corporation, owns and manages Citi Bike—and they’re responsible for cleaning these stations. With the profits they’re making, there’s literally no excuse.

I need to really start pushing my agenda that the city should own these bikes as an extension of its public transportation service. At least put them out of business by creating a cheaper version.
