The Detroit Tigers were 7-17 (.292) in September. It is the worst record in the final month of a season by a playoff team since the World Series began in 1903.

I don't think this really fixes anything, but at least it signals them recognizing something is wrong rather than making no changes and pretending its bad luck. Maybe we'll see the same with Falvey in 2030 when his 3rd attempt at a rebuild is considered a failure.
