Last night, we celebrated both operational and support staff in our service who have dedicated 20, 25 and 30 years serving the public, keeping our communities safe and those who continue to make a difference within our organisation at our Long Service Awards👏 #proud #BFRS

It was a pleasure to be part of the celebrations. Seeing the families of the firefighters and support team cheer their loved ones was truly uplifting. We are proud of all of you.

This Friday, over 1,000 students from schools across the region will head to the MK Innovates #STEM Festival Unity Place MK. They’ll talk to experts and companies about the types of roles available across the STEM sectors, helping them to look at possible career paths 👍

Visit to West Ashland, Broughton and Newport Pagnell fire stations did not go to plan this morning. All 3 crews were at a fire in Milton Keynes. Waited at West Ashland for Red watch to return, then went to the incident to find Broughton crew; chocolates handed over at both!

I was delighted to attend Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service Olney Fire Station last evening when 9 potential on-call firefighters turned up for a "Have a Go" taster session. All of them were local to the Olney area, so if they proceed to enrol they will join a an already fantastic team!
