We just published a primer on cephalopod learning and memory in Current Biology 🦑🧠🐙 unravelling the mysteries of how these critters navigate the seas of knowledge. Dive into the depths of cephalopod cognition with me Christelle Jozet-Alves Nicola Clayton cell.com/current-biolog…

An at home sci project that will be a hit at the outreach event titled Generations of cephalopod scientists, funded by Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL) alumni ROCS🐙🦑🧠👁️ The altered monitors will demonstrate how we as humans cannot see polarization, but cephalopods and many other inverts can!

Octopuses (yes that’s the plural) are amazing. This one is tiny. Unlike humans, their brains GROW continually across the lifespan. Thank you University of Oregon & Cris Niell for the tour of the amazing Neuroscience happening here. I’ve always loved UofO & Eugene.

How it started vs how it’s going… Erica Shook We unfortunately didn’t take any pictures Society for Neuroscience (SfN), but it’s been a blast climbing and conferencing Can we establish a better way to connect neuroscientists who climb? Messaging people you’ve never met normally doesn’t go this well

The Neurobiology and Changing Ecosystems social was one of my favorite parts of Society for Neuroscience (SfN)! Congratulations and thank you @AngieMichaiel and The Kavli Foundation for bringing so many wonderful people together!

Do you like Squid Facts? 🔲Yes 🔲No meg mindlin designed valentines to infuse some science into your celebrations! The back of each card has a fact about the species, and of course the classic to: & from: space. Get 'em here squidfacts.bigcartel.com/product/valent… Supports Skype A Scientist!

This puzzle was made with a black and white checkerboard pattern…tomorrow we’ll see if the team who sees like humans or the team who can see like an octopus (with polarized glasses) can put it together first! Funded by Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL) Alumni ROCS
