Here, Aadil Nathani on Green Ummah which he co-founded (in addition to being a municipal lawyer in his day job).

Consumption by the richest 1% accounts for 15% of CO2 emissions. Consumption by the richest 10% accounts for around half of CO2 emissions. Consumption by the poorest 50% accounts for just 10% of CO2 emissions. Tackling climate change depends on tackling inequality.
