Our paper on 'Deprotectases' has been published as part of the Faraday Discussions collection on biocatalysis. A team effort, including 9 undergraduates! Chemistry Edinburgh Well done to everyone involved. #FDbiocatalysis pubs.rsc.org/en/content/art…
New paper in PLoS Comp Biol! Jack O'Shea used molecular dynamics to find sites for cpGFP insertion, creating functional biosensors in a periplasmic binding protein. He identified known sites but also discovered new ones, which he validated in the lab. journals.plos.org/ploscompbiol/a…
PEDS: Protein Engineering, Design & Selection is excited to share its latest article collection on "Computational Methods for #ProteinDesign". Free to read until Sept. 30, 2024: academic.oup.com/peds/pages/spe…
7/ Christopher W. Wood and colleagues (Biological Sciences | University of Edinburgh) report the Three-dimensional Inference Method for Efficient Design (TIMED), a convolutional #NeuralNetwork-based algorithm for #InverseFolding. academic.oup.com/peds/article/d…
📢 Finally out in J. Am. Chem. Soc.: We engineered the first #PhotoLanZyme, a lanthanide-dependent photoredox enzyme that catalyzes radical C-C bond cleavages upon visible-light irradiation! 💡🧫🧪🧬💻 TU München European Research Council (ERC) pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ja…
