Fancy fibreglass (apparently) floor going down on Orakei basin widening. Appears quite grippy. even has sections that have fine openings for drainage. Not sure about the raised screw domes though Bike Auckland know anything about the construction? #Orakeibasin #GI2TD #slipperywhenwet

Great to see! This'll make bikeway access a LOT easier. (Note: for now, the design doesn't widen the pinch point on the corner of Canada/Upper Queen; it'd be doable if Canada St eastbound were one lane, as Local Board wanted. Maybe once the CRL 'de-tunes' Mercury Lane traffic?)

The great eastern path is on the way, and when finished, it'll stretch 7km from Glen Innes to Tamaki Drive. But the project has been beset by delays. We reckon it’s time to throw everything at this job so it meets the new deadline of December 2021.🚶🏽‍♀️🚲⏳⏰bikeauckland.org.nz/we-cant-ride-y…

Found this guy in the middle of the road today while out biking. Lifted him gently out of the way until a neighbour came to check him out. Looked like he was being beaten up by other tūī! So beautiful up close - very privileged to hold something so precious. #tui #bikeAKL #manu
