Dear Lord, watching and listening to the Bumbling Lump that is masquerading as President of the United States on #BBCNews is frightening. Since when has the pre-eminent democracy thought it okay to elect a person with the abilities of a Toddler to its leadership?

The older i get the more distasteful I find the blanket coverage of celebs and wealthy attending Ascot as "guests" of corporations and companies. Wearing designer clothes and items to be photo'd advertising brands whilst ordinary race fans pay huge sums to attend. Seems wrong

The Billionaire Media is pushing for Thames Water to be 'temporarily renationalised' at a cost to you of £21bn so billionaires don't lose a penny. I have a counter offer, make them go bankrupt, renationalise permanently for free.

From the 1950's to the 1970's the UK built 5 million council houses, these were built almost entirely by builders employed and paid by Local Government Authorities. It is what we need, no more middle men billionaire thieves, just the Government doing what needs to be done.

Loved the Chris Patton interview on #TheNewsagents and his description of Nigel Farage as "the Pub Bore" who arrives in "red trousers and cravat" then loudly expresses his opinions by "holding court" whilst people take their leave and depart the bar! Perfect description.

Around 3/4 of people don’t want Reform in power. But the narrative is that they are unstoppable. First-past-the-post has warped British politics for far too long. Now it risks letting the extreme right win a majority. It needs to go. My latest Guardian column:
