I said about a month ago Arizona St would be a problem for Penn St. the narrative that Penn St has a cupcake non conference schedule isn’t true. Clarkson makes the game look like both teams are skating in mud clogging up NZ. Stonehill/LIU should be easier.

Love that Dave Maetzold Jean-Luc Grand-Pierre aka “The Hyphenator” are live at the rink for pre game and intermission. Beats the hell out of a studio show from a desk when team is on the road. Ivan Fedotov looks good through better part of 4 periods to start the AHL season. His size and positioning helps him stop pucks and has a good glove. A few quick reaction saves in tight as well #CBJ

I don’t think I’ve seen Mathieu Olivier lose a fight

Just imagine if Russia was in the Olympics and we got to see Kirill Marchenko on a national stage. Maybe Voronkov too #CBJ

Faceoffs in hockey are rarely won just by the center taking draw. The Columbus Blue Jackets last goal happened because Marchenko came in and got the puck back to Werenski after Monahan got it going. The wingers closing in after puck is dropped is just as important.

BG v Ferris St

Lots of hockey underway next week. MN HS, NE Prep, NCAA, Junior, Whitby Silverstick, NHL… Options are endless and with everyone trying for a piece of the streaming pie it’s almost overwhelming with monthly subscriptions. Getting a little ridiculous.

Why is it for every hockey goalie ever scored the finisher gives credit to everyone else but himself. I understand most goals are a team effort, but it’s cringe how some players act like they aren’t even worthy of scoring it.

LOL at NHL Network using the Canadian Hockey League logo to promote the Champions League games this week. At least they’re showing them right?

It’s unbelievable at the NHL level how players takes pucks from their skate to stick in stride. That’s a lot harder than it looks

No way Heiskanen is better than Werenski. Been hearing Zach’s name left out of the big 3 on various platforms. People need to start watching him more. He’s the best behind Makar on both sides of the puck.

ESPN+ should just show all the other groups games at WJC. NHL Network shows the player of the game crap and you miss the start to the next game. Idk why they do this every year. Make it simple, Group A is on NHL Network Group B on ESPN+. NHL Net isn’t even in most households.

Since Charlie Coyle joined the CBJ this year I never realized how good of a hockey player he is now that I watch all his games. Does so many little things right.

Really bummed NHL Network doesn’t show the Hockey Night in Canada intermission anymore. Friedman, Bieksa & co are entertaining to watch. Really annoying
