My favorite text every so often is from Pro Farmer when they make crop sales recommendations. You know, with high certainty, that whatever they are recommending is down 10-20 cents on the day. I don’t subscribe, it was part of a trial a long time ago and I still get the texts

We have a rebuild of our 2660VT on tap this winter (blades, bearings, etc). Should we stick with OEM or is there an aftermarket brand we should take a look at? We estimate we have about 1k acres/foot on it so not much to complain about on the OEM front.

I decided I should pull in and check the sight gauge on the tank before more loads come tomorrow. I didn’t even have to get out of the truck! For some reason the sight gauge is a lot bigger than I remember it.

I spent much of today following along with an equipment auction in the background and mercy have things fallen off. How quickly we went from the equipment scarcity and markups of 2021-2022 to today is insane.

I just received our auto insurance renewal. I cannot lie, I was shocked at it. Up 52% from last year. No accidents, no tickets, both 2023s. This is not sustainable.

Let me get this straight…. There is a bridge payment because next year will be a better year for farmers. But we also want to bring costs down at the grocery store? Overproduction does not bode well for the farmer.

Cody Etter (@cetter15) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Can we get a rush on this bridge payment? Personally my kids want Santa Claus to come this year. In all seriousness, nothing like warming Trump up for the next “bridge” payment.

If this is what being put first is like, I’m opening to trying being put last. Could’ve got a trade deal done three months ago, well before harvest and avoided this mess.

Good to see that Mother Deere wasted no time thanking the Trump Administration for funneling some “bridge” money through the farmers to their bottom line.

I was going through some paperwork from a few years ago earlier today. Found some settlements of $8+ corn and $17+ soybeans.. here we are a short few years later on bridge payment #2. Times can change in a hurry.

Cody Etter (@cetter15) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Apparently farmers are starting to do so well that they need a bridge payment. How long into the future until there’s a clip or post saying “Farmers are doing too well! We have to get prices down! Before me farmers were making nothing.”

Cody Etter (@cetter15) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Honest question, why would farmers continue to grow soybeans in the future? We love growing corn, it’s at less risk to a trade war, and for the second year in a row corn has been favored on the payment front. I’ll ask it again, why plant soybeans?

Merry Christmas, from our family to your’s! May your day be full of joy, peace, hope, and love. It’s our prayer that you know the risen Savior. God bless!

Official yield results are in…. I missed our corn average by 1% and soybeans by 2%. Not too shabby, if I must say so myself. What could’ve been, without a D3 drought.

I don’t know what it means, maybe it’s just the algorithm, but there are a TON of spray tender trailers posted for sale on Marketplace.
