October is Hispanic Heritage Month, a time to celebrate culture, connection, and community. At CDE, we're proud to support language access by offering digital skilling and cybersecurity courses in Spanish. This work wouldn’t be possible without partners like the Harris YMCA.
At our September Community Council meeting, we explored the Ecosystem Approach to AI—and how important it is to bring AI into conversations around digital literacy and workforce development. Thank you to Mike Terrell from Per Scholas and all our partners for all that you do!
We’re proud to welcome AARP North Carolina as an official partner of the Center for Digital Equity! Together, we’re deepening our shared commitment to digital access and skill-building for older adults. At our September Community Council meeting, Todd from Charlotte Nonprofits' IT Resource shared a powerful reminder during our conversation on building an ecosystem approach to AI. The takeaway? Inclusion can’t be an afterthought—it must be built into every conversation about emerging technology.
We’re expanding our partnership with Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont to bring even more digital support to the community. Community members can now: -Walk in during CDE Digital Navigator office hours -Join Learning Lab sessions every other week for hands-on support with digital basics
