My relationship with books is really toxic right now. I really wish I could walk up to my bookshelves and pick something to read without worrying about taking notes or if my audience will watch a video on what I picked.

Unpopular Opinion: Some of the best books only get 3-4 stars on Goodreads because they aren't what the commercial market wants at the time.

I'm reading much less fantasy lately and a lot more short books. At least I'm reading at all. Trying to work my attention span back up to being able to get through those books that are thick as a brick. Also trying to read books that have a lesson or something worth remembering.

Hit me with recs, specifically: Trad pubbed epic/grimdark secondary world fantasy with a gay male protagonist as the clear lead (not side characters, main protag only). Swords, sorcery, castles etc. Have read The Steel Remains. 🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️
