Outstanding evening at the Federalist Society Antonin Scalia Memorial Dinner tonight. Father Paul Scalia led us in prayer. Senator Tom Cotton gave the keynote speech.

Busy day at Federalist Society NLC yesterday, including a talk by Butler County’s Vivek Ramaswamy, a panel of federal appellate judges on originalism moderated by Sixth Circuit Judge John Nalbandian, and much more.

I traveled across the state and spoke today to the University of Akron’s Federalist Society Student Chapter. My talk was on “The Role of State Appellate Courts in Our Federal System.” Thank you to the student chapter for the invitation & for being great hosts!

I served as a volunteer judge for the NCFCA Official’s regional speech’s and debate tournament, held in Butler County. The high schoolers were outstanding—honestly, some already had the skill set to handle a court of appeals argument! Congrats to all of the competitors.

I enjoyed the Preble County Lincoln Reagan Dinner last night at Hueston Woods. Attorney General Dave Yost spoke on his office’s work for Ohioans. Good seeing many friends, including Justice Justice Pat Fischer

Another fascinating Federalist Society Ohio Chapters Conference yesterday. This event improves every year. Great seeing so many friends, plus deep, substantive discussion of important legal issues. The day started with a panel re advice for young lawyers. Cincinnati Federalist Society Columbus Fed Soc 1/x
