I worked nights/weekends in my twenties and am now paying dearly for it with my physical health. This year alone I developed several stomach ulcers. Though it’s hard to prove causation, my doctors have a hypothesis that the stress from work sent me into premature ovarian failure.

Julie Eden My dad - 5+ decades ago - famously got his PhD, got married (same weekend so his family only made one trip), then started a new job days later (no honeymoon), has ulcers 6 months or so later (would be 6+ years & moves & many jobs before I was born)

I keep accidentally doing things I should be paid for for free. I care a lot about my friends and the community here, but I can’t afford to work for free. I’m going to watch myself for that.

It’s 4am and I’m working on my vacation. When building a company especially early on you have to touch it often. I won’t be announcing all my goals and plans for 2020 but I will be doing the work. Less talking, more doing.
