The Budapest Stock Exchange closed June on a high as the BUX rose 2.06% to a new peak of 97,667.46 points. Turnover reached EUR 786.7 million, averaging EUR 39.3 million daily. Highlights included MVM’s new bond issue and the 35th anniversary of the BSE’s re-establishment.

☀️Despite the usually quieter summer trading, the BUX index of the Budapest Stock Exchange posted strong growth, closing the month at 102,554.6 points, up 1.3%, a new all-time monthly high. Spot equity market turnover totaled EUR 763.5 million, averaging EUR 38.1 million per day.

📊 In September, the BUX closed at 98,871.6 points, down 3.6% from its spring–summer highs. Turnover on the spot equity market topped EUR 850.4 million, averaging EUR 38.6 million per day.

🚀 A strong start for the Hungarian equity market in 2026: the BUX rose 16% to a new monthly high of 128 831.58 points. The BUMIX gained around 2%, while the CETOP NTR advanced 8%. January turnover reached EUR 1.25 billion, with an average daily value of EUR 62.7 million.

📊 In the shortest month of the year, the BUX Index closed broadly in line with January. 📈 By end-February, it stood at 126 534.75 points, a 1.8% change. 💹 Trading remained strong, with equity market turnover reaching EUR 1.33 billion, averaging EUR 66.6 million per day.
