Sad to report that visitors have been having barbecues on the newly laid lawn outside Bryngarw House, causing damage to the membrane underneath the grass. The park is currently closed to all but local walkers. The police have been informed. #StayHomeSaveLives

Barbecuing in Bryngarw is not allowed at the moment. This photograph was taken yesterday. @SWPBridgend were notified and will continue to patrol the park over the coming days and weeks. #BBQatHome #StayHomeStaySafe

Very pleased to find the nationally scarce Cat's-ear nomad bee (Nomada integra) Bryngarw Country Park today. Fascinating to watch the females sneak into the nests of their host, the Cat's-ear mining bee (Andrena humilis), to try and lay their eggs. One female was seemingly successful.

Visitors who live within 5 miles of Bryngarw can drive to the Country Park for a short stay or exercise from today. Our car park will be open from 10am - 4pm. All other facilities are closed. #SocialDistancing and Welsh Government guidelines apply. #StaySafe
