Here is the executive order commuting Julius Jones's death sentence to life without parole:

I’m truly thankful that #JuliusJones will not be executed. Governor Kevin Stitt did order ineligibility to apply for a commutation, pardon, or parole for the rest of his life. So the work for justice continues. Very importantly and most urgently, we must abolish the death penalty.

Countless activists put it all on the line for Julius — and won a spectacular, partial victory. We still must get him out – but he needs to be alive for us to do so. So he lives on. And we fight on. #ThisIsWhyWeFight #JusticeForJulius

Thank you God for ensuring Julius Jones will continue to have life! Our hearts are joyful for Mama Jones, Antoinette Antoinette, & the entire Julius Jones Institute coalition. While the fight to free Julius continues, today, we all rejoice that Julius will live! #PraiseJesus!
