General Voter’s Registration Period

Voter’s Registration for Batswana residing in Brazil will be conducted at the Embassy of Botswana in Brasilia from 5 January - 3 February 2024, on weekdays from 08h30-16h30. SHIS QI 9, conjunto 16, casa 3.

His Excellency Benetia Chingapane paid a courtesy call on Ms. Natália Tafarello Mortaio, Head of International Relations at Fercomércio Sao Paulo, to discuss possible cooperation in the area of trade between the companies based in Sao Paulo and Botswana companies.

Ambassador Benetia Chingapane had a meeting with Mr. Humberto Corrêa, Director at HOUER and Ms. Lilian C. Scheepers, CEO of Pandamatenga Commercial Farmers Association, to discuss ongoing projects and possible collaborations aimed at improving the agricultural sector in Botswana.

Ambassador Benetia Chingapane paid a courtesy call on Mr. Samo Tosatti, Head of International Office of the Civil House, in the State of São Paulo Government to discuss possible bilateral cooperation particularly in areas of health, agriculture, tourism and clean energy.

Ambassador Benetia Chingapane attended the Global Agribusiness Forum (GAFFF)held from 27-28 June 2024 in São Paulo. She engaged with stakeholders from the agricultural industry in the public and private sector.

Ambassador Benetia Chingapane presented Copies of her Letters of Credence to Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Oriental Republuc of Uruguay H. E Nicolás Albertoni on 16 July 2024.

HE Benetia Chingapane hosted a Vin d'honneur after presentation of Letters of Credence to His Excellency Luiz Inacio Lula Da Silva, which took place on 22 May 2024.

HE Benetia Tumelo Chingapane received Her Excellency Selma Nghinamondova, Ambassador of the Republic of Namibia to Brazil for a courtesy call. They discussed issues of mutual interest and committed to working toghether to advance the interests of their respective countries.

HE Benetia Tumelo Chingapane received Mr. Ruben Marone, Botswana Honoray Consul in Sao Paulo for a courtesy call. They discussed possible opportunities for Botswana in the mining, health and tourism sectors.

HE Benetia Tumelo Chingapane attended a luncheon hosted by the Ambassador of Spain, H.E. Mrs. Mar Fernandez-Palacios, with H.E. Mr. Rodrigo Pachero, the President of Brazil Senate.
