What a coincidence, Governor Kathy Hochul! We'll also be making some announcements pertaining to congestion pricing in the near future. Fair warning, you probably aren't going to like it.

Just like she did not have the authority to pause congestion pricing, Governor Kathy Hochul does not get to decide the toll amount. Call her office (518) 474-8390 and demand she move forward with the $15 toll.

Once the Value Pricing Pilot Program agreement has been signed and tolling starts, the federal government's role in administering the program will be complete. They'd have no avenue to stop it that couldn't be challenged in court.

Yay, start(ing) congestion pricing.

I cannot put into words how much I deeply hate this rhetoric from the governor. 4.2 million subway rides per weekday, and she just cannot wrap her mind around how travel works through Manhattan.

So true. It will be weird to see people who generally dislike the Mayor praising him and being (extremely) disappointed with the City Council. It’s not going to be a good look and history will judge them harshly.

City of Yes without removal of parking requirements is not going to us out of this housing crisis. New York City Council has to do better than this.

City of Yes is a modest plan. It should be the floor – not the ceiling – of our efforts to address this housing crisis.    I urge my colleagues in the City Council to hold the line, be bold, and pass City of Yes without carveouts.   If you're going to do anything: do more.

For no particular reason, a reminder that every Councilmember is up for reelection in 2025. There are several important open seats and some strong challengers to incumbents. Get to know your CM, learn their positions on important issues, prepare to vote in low-turnout primary
