Hi Chris van Tulleken 🏳️‍🌈 , just finished your book. A brilliant read, I had no idea that so many people don't have a fridge/cooker/freezer & the poorer people get, the more their budget for food decreases. Without your tireless work Chris, we'd be years behind. Thanks for everything.

Body language. It's everywhere. The way we position our handshake, the way we pose for a picture with our partner, how we create physical 'shields' from discomfort, all of which reveal silent clues as to our emotions, feelings & intentions. Never discredit non-verbal behaviour!

Even after all these years (12 in October) - my book on Michael Jackson is still going strong... and is still as relevant as it was on day 1. Michael wasn't the monster - the media just portrayed him as one. ☹️ Body language gives us that silent insight into a whole new world.

Think someone is lying? Listen for words that span time as these may pinpoint where the deceit occurs. Words such as ‘then, later, later on, after, a short time later & the next thing I remember’ can all be used to sneakily skip over something they don't wish to talk about. 🧐

When I wrote my book on Michael Jackson, I promised Kat that I'd take her to New York to compensate her for my absence (writing can be very stressful & inconvenient) I delivered on this in 2017, but we both developed severe food poisoning on our 2nd day which wrecked the trip 🤯

Perfect quote. The trouble with lying (especially about something complex) is that it's easy to tangle yourself up in your fictitious story, leaving verbal clues for exploration. There's no singular clue for deception, but listen for speech errors & look for shoulder movements!

Here's a example of how infectious non-verbal behaviour can be. Note how this 'Akimbo' gesture sweeps through the England Cricket Team England Cricket This would have been an unconscious anticipation display, with teammates showing their unity via this harmonious action. #NVB

#MJInnocent With so much myth & confusion surrounding Michael Jackson, it was important to deduce his body language to ascertain what his silent behaviours revealed. My book showcased a man who, in my opinion, was innocent in every sense of the word. amazon.co.uk/dp/B009LAMGDY

We often give those we hold dear to us an extra touch of sincerity, such as this 'torso touch'. The silent signals we send provide an insight into our thought processes. Tactile communication like this is reserved for those worthy, try this with a stranger & it'll be rejected.

Reading body language is much like this picture. Only when you learn to o-b-s-e-r-v-e does an overlooked perspective appear.

Placing your feet on a table (pictured) sends a strong silent message of aggressive ownership, sending with it a contemptuous message of ' Here is a hostile reminder that I am superior to everyone here.. you're about as worthless as what's on the sole of my shoe.' #bodylanguage

There are many ways to hug; however one which requires great trust is the hug from behind. This is because the receiver of this hug places their faith in the hugger, as their neck is exposed to a rear attack or strangulation. Don't try this with someone you don't know well !

My debut book 'Behind The Mask: What Michael Jackson’s Body Language Told The World' was released 13 years ago today. Time truly flies! Never did I think it'd go #1 in its category in 11 countries - one of my proudest accomplishments! I hope you're resting well Michael. 🙏

We had the pleasure of watching Lady Gaga last night. She blasted out all the hits (30 songs), with 23,000 people singing every word. It was like an out of body experience to be part of something like this. I can't quite explain the aura she has - Lady Gaga you have no equal.
