Don’t get it confused - he’s already identified his enemies: Black people across the country (especially in Detroit), Haitians, Congolese, Venezuelans, Puerto Ricans, immigrants, and pretty much anyone who has melanated skin.

FINALLY seeing ads that I believe will really hit home & send a direct message to Black voters: take action now! Shout-out to Black Voters Matter Action PAC & Way To Win for putting these together just in time. Really wish these type of ads would’ve run for months now directly from Harris-Walz.

As another example, Black support for Trump is far too big (23%) with a super small N=51. Hopefully, next election cycle, we’ll learn NOT to draw conclusions from small samples of Black voters that are part of larger polls that NEVER intended to accurately measure Black opinion.

LeBron giving a STRONG endorsement for Harris almost directly following Bosa’s post-game MAGA antics is poetry in motion…

If nothing else, the most recent swath of polls suggests Harris has numerous path to EC victory.

Abortion & reproductive rights are on the ballot in nearly a dozen states, many that will not influence the presidential election (due to the EC). So, no matter what you think of presidential politics, there’s something out there worth voting for where your vote & voice matters!

Here’s what gets me: PEW has percent Black of eligible PA voters @ ~11% & Marist even has 10% of RV as Black. But, with LV it drops to 8%. This assumes Black voters will make-up LESS of the electorate now than in 2020 - so once again VOTE! (Good luck w/50-50 gender split too)

That last part is essential - a large part of the growth in ATL suburbs is Black people also suburbanizing in ways that shift the electorate without much neighborhood integration. So part of the shift is about reconstituting the suburban electorate & not changing white attitudes.

This has been the thrust of my research on Black celebrities & politics for years: don’t expect celebrities endorsement to move the needle all that much, but they can effectively GOTV messengers & create a sense of energy many politicians can’t.

To add emphasis, in 2020 - during the pandemic - Black voters got out to the polls early to avoid crowds as they saw their community disproportionately dying from COVID. This year, many expect Black voters to return to their preferred method of voting: in-person on Election Day.

This ABSOLUTELY hinges on Trump winning ~20 % of Black voters. And, with a Black sample size of 150 respondents, I’m far from convinced…

New Detroit Free Press MI poll is yet another where Black support for Harris has “jumped” over the last few months. Up 18 pts since August, Harris leads Trump 87-5 (+82). And, guess what, Black men are no longer a “problem”🤦🏽‍♂️ (they never were!) Plus, Harris leads big w/those already voted.

Even with a small PA sample likely overestimating Trump support, Black voters are breaking for Harris 81-17 (+64). What’s telling is Black abortion views - they’re the MOST concerned, which tracks w/Black insights research research showing abortion is driving Black support for Harris.

MOST AMERICAN VOTERS ARE LOW INFORMATION AND DO NOT UNDERSTAND POLITICS
