The guy on the left went 3-0 on the mat today in his competition since before Christmas. Wrestled well. Proud of him and love watching him learn, compete, and interact with teammates & competitors alike.

This guy had a pretty good day in Pierre. I asked him what his goal was going into the tournament and he said "Win it!". I told him that was a good goal. Lofty. Go do it. He ended the day at the top of the podium. He is your 190lb SD MS State Champion. So proud of him.

If you repeatedly criticize someone for liking something you don't, they won't stop liking it. They'll stop liking you.

Cody had a great weekend at the Heartland Duals. He went 7-0 with a Tech Fall, a major decision, two pins, an overtime win and two forfeits. Going undefeated earned him AA honors. Had a blast with other middle schoolers from across SD. The team ended up 5th in their bracket.

Goals...

Last weekend concluded Cody's wrestling season. Wrestled HWT (270) on a K-8th team in Aberdeen. Weighed 187. Went 4-1. Lost to a kid he was teammates with in CB a few weeks ago. He can beat him. Overall, great season! On to baseball, working out and having a great summer.

BV Freshmen got the W...20-8 over Roosevelt. Team played well. #50 is a good number for a guard and MLB.

Cody ended up 7th at the Floyd Farrand Tournament on NYE day. Not quite to the level of the 1st-3rd place guys but he's doing good things

Cody's wrestling season ended in Rapid City Friday afternoon. Varsity 190 as a freshman. Finished the season 22-25, went 1-2 at state. Not enough for the podium this year. He did a lot of great things but also a lot of things to work on. Very proud of him and his season!

He is settling in at 3rd and doing great for his Junior Legion team but he got one on his ol' man today. First BIG BOY home run. Yeah, it was in Harrisburg, yeah the field is only 310 to left but it still cleared the wall...As I've said before it's gonna be a fun few years!

Very proud of Cody (#84)! Named JV Defensive MVP as a linebacker for Legends camp. He said he also caught a couple of TDs from his new O position (TE) in the scrimmage. Got a lot of baseball season left but this fall will be a blast if this is any indication.
