A scientific paper where two different groups showed it couldn’t be reproduced… 13 years later, finally retracted! science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

Inspired by Fraktal's Laser Fault Injection rig, I got an xTool F1. I probably need to use some HNO3 to take off the last bit of packaging. The chips no longer work if I go too far, and the die also looks visually damaged.

New ChipWhisperer HuskyPlus! If you’ve been thinking about fault injection, this is a great way to get started. mouser.com/ProductDetail/…

I'll be doing a second book signing at Defcon today at noon, near the entrance to the vendor area. Three books of PoC||GTFO and the new one on Microcontroller Exploits.

Can somebody steelman STM32s and atmega328ps to me in 2025? $1 now buys you an RP2040, a dual core 200MHz behemoth with ~250 KiB of SRAM. On the lower end, $0.14 buys (in bulk) a tiny CH32V003 32-bit 2KiB SRAM 16KiB flash 5V-tolerant MCU. ESP32s and nRF parts also seem better.
