It's all been a little quiet around here, but this week Baby Whittaker FINALLY arrived! This is Heidi and we think she's pretty great! A massive thank you for all the gorgeous gifts and well wishes, we feel so spoilt ❤️🥰

It’s been so wonderful to welcome Hares back to school. The classroom has felt so full of excitement and friendship 🐇

We got stuck right in this week and have enjoyed lots of lessons, including art, phonics and maths. Our year 2 children have been wonderful role models and have supported our year 1 children so well in their first week of key stage 1. 🐇 #BGArt #BGReading #BGMaths

Our #BGComputing unit this half term is all about Bee-Bots 🐝 we had a great time exploring their functions and setting challenges this afternoon! 🐇

In #BGArt this afternoon we explored how we can make representations of water using different kinds of lines. We worked collaboratively and produced really eye catching works using a range of drawing techniques! 🐇

What do different materials feel like? How can we manipulate different materials? What material is this object made from? What are the properties of different materials? These are just a few of the questions we’ve been investigating in our #BGScience lessons! 🐇

Rekenreks have quickly become one of our most used resources in maths lessons, especially to support us in our independent maths work #BGMaths 🐇

We’re really enjoying our #BGArt lessons where we’ve been developing our drawing skills and exploring how we can use a variety of lines and marks to create the look of texture on objects. We think carefully about which colouring tools we use to enhance our drawings 🐇

Our amazing school council representatives wear their badges with so much pride every day! #BGExtra 🐇

In #BGComputing we’ve been creating our own information videos teaching people how to use a Bee-Bot on a Chromebook. In partners we planned out the information we wanted to share, and took it in turns to film the video using an iPad and to speak on camera 🎥 🐝

We’ve been really enjoying our #BGDT windmill project this week! We’ve been exploring different methods for making our structures stable, and for joining different parts together. Watch this space to see our completed working windmills soon! 🐇

We were amazed by so many children dressing up for BBC Children in Need this year! The school raised lots of money and we were able to share our ideas about how we would be able to raise money for future charity days #BGExtra 🐇

Our Year 2’s are so excited to be using Reading Plus now! There is such an enthusiasm for reading in our class! #BGReading #BGComputing 🐇

In #BGMaths we’ve been exploring tens and ones using a place value chart. We love using base 10 and always have this manipulative available to us in our lessons 🐇

We had such a brilliant #BGMusic workshop today with MEG from MEG 🎶 we loved exploring pitch and dynamic through using our voices, and we haven’t stopped singing the ‘bumblebee tuna’ song! 🐇

We are so proud of our Hares and the amazing effort they put into performing such a wonderful Nativity show 🎄 the singing and acting was brilliant, and our audience was fabulous! 🐇

What a delicious Christmas dinner we had today! There was such a festive feeling in the hall at lunch time with everyone pulling crackers, telling jokes and wearing crowns 🎄
