Looks like the invisible wall USCIS is building to stifle immigration, including the heightened risk of being put into removal proceedings, expanded public charge rules, and increased procedural obstacles, not only hurts potential applicants but the agency itself.

DHS strips asylum seekers of the ability to work while they wait years for their cases to be heard, saying they “should become familiar with the homelessness resources provided by the state where they intend to reside.”

The proposed regulation would gut our asylum system, including practically ending protections for survivors of gender-based violence.
