Interesting reading the discussion on the AI nature paper. I have been using AI (actual intelligence 😉) for a few decades now to make new materials, and my well trained autonomous arm is legendary for the numbers of samples it can make in a day Alex Green Robert Palgrave

We have funding to support an early career visiting researcher, working in lithium-ion battery research in Argentina or Chile, to visit University of Birmingham to work on the project: LAW: Lithium from anode waste. For more details and how to apply see faraday.ac.uk/opportunities/…

You should be ashamed of yourselves ACS Publications. I thought the ACS was interested in furthering science but clearly I am naive. At least it reduces my workload as I will refuse to referee papers submitted to your journals ever again.

This year's RSC Solid State Chemistry Group Christmas meeting will be held at the University of Birmingham (16-17 Dec). There is still time to register for this great annual event (with the ECR meeting 15-16 Dec) rsc.org/events/detail/…
