Thinking of friends, students and other Canadians who are reeling from the tragic loss of life from the Ukraine International Airlines crash. My condolences to those affected and grieving.

Started my day with a smile, watching the boys in the prep school take this in. I’ve never seen them so excited about a vegetable as when the lion shared his lettuce!

It’s exciting how the built environment can unlock new and effective modes of teaching and learning, collaboration, and stimulate relationships with other people and new ideas. Here it is in action.

In 2003 during the #SARS outbreak, when I'd get on the #TTC subway, I'd clear half the car. Presumably because I'm visibly Asian. If I cleared my throat, I'd get the entire car to myself. Got to commute in comfort, but let's not do a repeat of that, okay? theglobeandmail.com/canada/article…

All the information circulating about COVID-19 can be overwhelming & anxiety-inducing. Coping is an important part of staying mentally well during this pandemic, and the CDC released some tips and information that may be helpful: bit.ly/39KeCML

As a precautionary measure, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our community and of the broader population, students will not return to the UCC campus following March Break. We are anticipating a return date of Monday, April 6. Further communication to families is forthcoming.

Losing track of the days was so last week; this week, I’m losing track of all our Amazon orders. The arrival of each new parcel on my doorstep is accompanied by a growing mix of bewilderment and surprise. #SelfIsolation #newborn #ThanksForDelivering

So inspired - and happy - to see the many ways that K-12 school teachers and students are rising to meet the unprecedented demands (and opportunities) of a new educational reality. To all faculty and school leadership: keep up the amazing work! ourkids.net/school/respond…

I’m still reflecting on the insights and honesty shared between trusted colleagues and friends here. The strength of a community could be measured by the openness and vulnerability and support shared in a conversation like this, before one’s peers. Thanks again to all who joined!
