What a phenomenal day yesterday conducting Usk Brass Band and meeting a gentleman and musical enigma Bill Bailey for the unveiling of the Alfred Russel Wallace statue in the town square in Usk. Thanks Callum Phillips for playing my fanfare I wrote several years ago too.
It was a pleasure conducting Usk Brass Band yesterday at the Welsh Regional qualifiers in Swansea. Good luck to all competing bands today!

Really proud of Usk Brass Band yesterday. Unfortunately it was far from our best performance, but a great result. This was a very tricky piece for the band, but one that made us better for attempting it. Congratulations to AbergavennyBoroBand and Newport who will represent Wales.
Had a great day at Whit Fridays with Royal Buckley Town Band. Always a pleasure, time for a beer.
