Inflation Outturn: Annual core inflation rose to 3.5% in April 2024 compared to 3.4% in March 2024. This was mainly due to a rise in other goods inflation such as fish and seafood inflation. Specifically, mukene (dried kapenta) prices rose by 28.8 % and fresh tilapia prices
