7m75 to make the Long Jump final at the Euro Indoors in Istanbul. Shame there isn't a British athlete that has jumped further than that this year. Oh wait. Silly me. There is.

Following on from this and now dropping names, 8 metres won bronze in Istanbul British Athletics. Reynold Banigo jumped that twice last season and showed good form this indoor season. He received an invite as he was high enough on the rankings. Not selecting him was nonsense.

Athletes that receive invites, and especially those that receive ZERO support from the federation, should be allowed to go. I think the policy of rejecting invites needs to be reassessed British Athletics It's cruel, it's unfair and it's hurting your own medal chances.
