I was planning to enter the Overloaded Gaiwan contest, but then a friend visiting Menghai sent me this photo.

The name Menghai means “fierce sea (or lake)” in Chinese, but the town is far from any big body of water: babelcarp.org/babelcarp/babe… The name isn’t Chinese, anyway. More importantly, Menghai is arguably the center of the puer universe.
