I am now a volunteer fire fire with Grundy Center and of course the kids loved to see the trucks

This weekend is the IMT marathon and half marathon in Des Moines. A buddy of mine is new to running and sent the message below. I'm not an influencer in any sense of the term but love that I have helped support this healthy lifestyle.

2024 has been highlighted by personal bests: Mile- 5:55 5k- 21:47 10k: 44:05 Half marathon: 1:41:25 (close to goal). 2025- 70.3 Ironman

After my run this morning, it's evident that there's no subtle way to take off spandex. The only appropriate way is to act like a gorilla is on your back and you violently throw yourself in half

2024 PR's. Looking forward to adding next year, but for now, an off season and getting ready to take on my first attempt at an Ironman.

However much the CHEEZ-IT mascot is getting paid is not nearly enough.
