I just wanna be a good Android engineer, is that too much to ask for?

Day 1 of #100DaysOfCode ! I’m doing this so I can become a better and more consistent developer. I hope I can keep with the full 100 days 😊 Today I: - went through some of the Kotlin codelabs on Google’s website - started doing Figma for my personal project

Day 2 of #100DaysOfCode Learning how Jetpack Compose works and working on some examples! Planning on implementing this awesome library for my own personal project...still trying to brainstorm an idea lol #AndroidDev

Day 3 #100DaysOfCode Doing some LeetCode in Kotlin... it's a bit painful, but slowly but surely I'm understanding more of the data structures in Kotlin, like PriorityQueues, Lists, and Arrays

Day 4 #100DaysOfCode I finished up the Jetpack Compose basics Codelab! Now I'm looking forward to using it for my own apps! :D

Day 5 #100DaysOfCode Been working on an app for GDSC FIU, currently working on the UI for the app using #JetpackCompose !!

Day 6 #100DaysOfCode Finished making the first page of the app! Here’s what I have so far :D Gonna working in styling it some more tomorrow

Day 7 #100DaysOfCode I looked into some documentation for Node and Express as I’m attempting to work with a the backend for the app… we’ll see how that goes XD

Day #9 #100DaysOfCode Working on a new Pokedex side project to generate a list of Pokemon so I can pick up some missing pieces of my knowledge needed for the main project. I am kind of running into Dependency Injection issues right now that I'll resolve tomorrow. 🦧

Made it to Day 10!! #100DaysOfCode I’m currently learning more about how to make network requests in Android so that I can connect the backend to the frontend 😁

Day 11 #100DaysOfCode I got past the DI issues on the Pokedex app! I'm about halfway done and this is the result of my current UI progress. I should hopefully be done with the project by the end of the week! Shoutout to Sunrit (e/acc) for the template! 👀

Day 12 #100DaysOfCode Got the main screen working now! Had some issues with the network settings and connecting the main API to the UI, but it works now and I'm so happy! Gonna work on the detail screen for each Pokemon next :D

Day 13 #100DaysOfCode I learned what Room is today and how it works as a persistence database for Android!

Day 14 #100DaysOfCode Kinda losing track of reality because I'm on vacation LOL but still trying to keep up with the challenge... but search functionality works on the Pokedex app! (sorta)

The fastest way to learn is by doing. You can read all the books in the world, watch hundreds of hours of video, but until you put that advice in to practice you still know very little.
