Our next talk is Meryem Yücel speaking about: The fNIRS Reproducibility Study Hub (FRESH): Exploring Variability and Enhancing Transparency in fNIRS Neuroimaging Research 🔦🧠 Boston University Alexander von Lühmann Rickson Mesquita Robert Luke fNIRS2024 #fNIRS2024

I'd like to coordially thank everyone that gave me their vote in the recent election to the board of directors of the Society for functional Near Infrared Spectroscopy, announced at #fNIRS2024 in Birmingham! I will work hard to help the field of #fNIRS and its society grow and am looking forward to the next 4 years!

How much does #fNIRS signal quality depend on factors like hair and skin type, and how does that affect inclusivity? ☝🏿☝🏾☝🏼 See the preprint of our study with 115 participants that quantifies the answer, lead by a great team around Meryem Yücel and David Boas at BU_Neurophotonics

At the Berlin Science Week last saturday our Intelligent Biomedical Sensing (IBS) Lab was represented by Shakiba, Christian and Joseph: They explained how #light and #AI can be used to #image the #brain with #fnirs/#dot using our new Python toolbox #cedalion: ibs-lab.com/cedalion/

Yesterday Alexander von Lühmann and Eike Middell gave a NIRx Medical Tech. webinar on #photogrammetry for fnirs #optode #coregistration using our Cedalion #python toolbox for open source state of the art #fnirs and #dot analysis (ibs-lab.com/cedalion). Watch here: youtu.be/upBmo2ZlWBM

Next week I will talk at the BCI Society – Tianqiao & Chrissy Chen Institute Joint BCI Meeting in #Shanghai (bcici-meeting.bcisociety.org). Topics: progress & challenges in #multimodal #fNIRS and #DOT-based #braindecoding with #ML/#AI in the everyday world, which is our focus at the IBS-Lab-Lab.

Just gave my keynote on recent progress in #fnirs, #dot and #multimodal #MachineLearning for single trial brain decoding in the Everyday World here in #Shanghai. A big thanks to the organizers, the BCI Society and the Tianqiao & Chrissy Chen Institute for the opportunity and the amazing event!

Today we got a first version of the new generation #wearable whole head #DOT / #fNIRS #brainimager up and running at the IBS-Lab, wearable #eyetracking included. Together with ibs-lab.com/cedalion analysis our pilot and the European Research Council (ERC) Starting Grant can come in 2025!

Looking forward to join and see our friends at NIRx Medical Tech. and everyone at the MPI! Eike Middell and I will contribute a talk and a hands-on workshop on high-density #fNIRS / #DiffuseOpticalTomography analysis with our open source Python toolbox Cedalion (ibs-lab.com/cedalion)

Thanks Eike Middell for representing our IBS-Lab lab and providing the training for our #fnirs / #dot #python toolbox Cedalion. I am excited about 2025 and what we will be able to do kickstart with it! Thanks Addison Billing for the invitation and organization!

Today our editorial for the special issue in #frontiers in #neuroergonomics on "Advances in #mobile #opical #brain activity #monitoring" was published. With Surjo Soekadar , Meryem Yücel, Felix Scholkmann, Paola Pinti and Adam Noah frontiersin.org/journals/neuro…

My IBS-Lab Lab at TU Berlin / BIFOLD is hiring a #PhD candidate (4yrs) with #electrical #engineering / #biomedical #optics background: join us in the European Research Council (ERC) project INTEGRAL to build #wearable #brain-#body sensing with #fNIRS / #DOT: jobs.tu-berlin.de/en/job-posting…
