Such sad news about the passing of Bob Weir. My favorite member of the Dead. He gave me a lot of great memories with my Yazoo friends. We were fortunate to see Dead & Company many times. This is 2022 footage of Bobby singing Stella Blue in Wrigley. Phenomenal performance.

Trinidad Chambliss vs. NCAA has officially been filed in Lafayette County Chancery Court. Also the NCAA appeal on his denial will be heard next week. I expect him to be Ole Miss’ quarterback next season.

I met Scott Jennings in 2012 when we worked together on the presidential race. We immediately clicked - two guys from rural states. He was always nice and respectful, but didn’t take crap…especially from someone who had never tried to earn his respect. This is a great example

If you want to see people in Mississippi panic, you mention the potential of an ice storm. Especially those of us who remember the 1994 ice storm. The forecast for this weekend is all the talk - not in a good way.

Oh ok…

Trees in Yazoo County have been accumulating ice for at least an hour. Hovering between 34-32. Ice is going to cause problems, even in the South Delta, when the sun goes down. The Weather Channel WLBT 3 On Your Side

Reports from friends and family in Oxford is they got hit really bad with this storm. The Mayor Robyn Tannehill has been continuously updating the public on the situation. Most recent one below. Seems similar to 1994 storm. Reed Timmer, PhD has been on the ground as well.

No greater example of how stupid weather is in Mississippi. This was a temperature map from the state mid morning. Jackson and north in a massive deep freeze. Just south of Jackson in the 60s and 70s.

Lot of ice in the lower MS Delta - this from Sharkey County today. Another bitterly cold night tonight.
