Today (Sunday, 3/24), we will screen these three films with an introduction to “Promise at Dawn” by Richard Neupert who teaches film history and theory at the University of Georgia where he is the Wheatley Professor of the Arts and a Meigs Distinguished Teaching Professor.

Today: Monday, 3/25: “Fog in August” and “Shelter” will screen at Athens Ciné. Check athensjff.org for showtimes, film trailers and more. The festival continues through Wednesday. • There will be an introduction to “Fog in August” by the German Consulate.

Screening Tuesday, March 26 at Athens Ciné: 5 p.m. Above the Drowning Sea; 7 p.m. The Interpreter Karen Myrhe, Associate Professor of Chinese at UGA, will introduce Above the Drowning Sea. Visit athensjff.org for more info.

UGA has cancelled all private events between March 13 and March 29th. Including #Athensjff Gala and the opening movie scheduled for March 21 at the Georgia Museum of Art. Look for more info on the festival to come.
