Perry Bellegarde Perry Bellegarde National Chief, respectfully, you were on the wrong side of Wellington Street. You were celebrating with the colonizer and not supporting the Algonquin Nation and our fight for equality mere meters across the street. You didn’t even have the decency to stop by.

The two parties agreed that 100 Wellington would not open without a resolution that successfully addresses the interests of the Algonquin People. Furthermore the “”infill” section within the Indigenous Peoples Space will be a dedicated space for the Algonquin.

The Algonquin Nation and the Government of Canada will begin a bilateral process to develop this space, and the Government is prepared to have a building constructed should this be part of the request put forward by the Algonquin.
