A cosy night at the club creating art. Best thing to do on a winters night ?

After a photography break? We are back showing the work we produce at our art club. Great drawings and paintings this week. Hope you like them.

Botanical drawing tonight. First time we have ever attempted this for of art. Silence while we worked!

A wonderful evening working with the Yorkshire artist, Julia Borodina, creating landscapes. Lots of acrylic and emulsion paint. Lots of ripped card and paper. And lots of mess!

A wonderful evening spent figure drawing with our favourite model, Helen. A few difficult poses but we attempted all.

Our members have created these wonderful paintings to celebrate The Coronation. The animals, mammals and birds are all portrayed on Coats of Arms of various Commonwealth countries. Pop in to Pontefract Library to have a look at our Coronation Exhibition.

A busy evening! So much art work produced

The Art Club has created this wonderful graphic mural for St Marys Community Centre, Pontefract. It shows all the groups who use the centre. Thank you to the staff who supported us, kept us supplied with coffee and gave us lots of ideas.

Outdoor sketching in Pontefract park. Where did the sun go????

We have created Liquorice Postcards to celebrate our town’s connection to Liquorice. They can be seen in Pontefract Library during this week.

Despite the rain some of our members visited Fairburn Ings to sketch the beautiful landscapes. All in preparation of our annual exhibition which this year is based on local landscapes. #FairburnIngsRSPB
