THIS. Exactly. I love so much about the ST and will until my dying day, but I’ll flay TROS until then too. Between the sheer beauty of The Last Jedi and the epic disappointment of TROS, it’s all hugely matured me in my own writing and in what I want to write going forward.

Reading Adorning the Dark by Andrew Peterson is basically me saying over and over again: “Oh my gosh, he gets it. HE GETS IT.” And “He did it. He put that undefinable feeling into WORDS. Oh wow.” Thanks, Andrew, for writing this. I needed it this month.
