Seeing arguments on the right about how much the GOP owes its success / basic principles to the Christian Right. Pointless question, since Christian leadership is as riddled with fakes as the GOP proper is. They're still better than neocons and libertarians on everything.

For the record, I agree that it was wrong (and highly suspect, given the targets) to drip this bomb. Dresden was immoral too. But the attempt by certain Jesuits to say modern Americans bear responsibility for this is offensively inane.

Haven't heard many "the purpose of a system is what it does" quips ever since Trump started actually delivering on a few things.

One day, clips like these are going to be played at a major event. Maybe someone is going to do it at TP USA before anyone can cut the feed. Candidates are going to be ambushed during a town hall debate. A priest is going be discussing ecumenism and have this played at him.

I am fascinated by the prospect that we may enter 2026 with Trump openly bashing the incredibly popular Modi in India and maybe even trying to get him removed from power. Imagine how the Indian diaspora will react.

Stayed up to watch Fuentes' stream last night. Pretty interesting deep dive into CIA history. Mostly I'm impressed that he can get that many people to sit through something like that. He speaks well and keeps it interesting but it's still a long, dense monologue.
