Eight Seniors lead the 2025 Mountie Softball Team. Southmont opens its season next Friday at Greencastle and then returns home Saturday for the Mountie Invitational. Southmont plays South Putnam at 10 am.

Owen Valley defeats Southmont 10-5 Wednesday night. Pitcher Ella Barry struck out 12 and allowed 5 earned runs. Ella also hit the Mounties’ first homer of the season. Anna Stokes had 3 hits to lead the Mounties.

SB South wins 6-0 vs defending sectional champs Greencastle. Ella Barry pitched a shutout with 10 strikeouts. Also hits a HR. Anna Stokes went 4 for 4

Southmont defeats Greencastle 6-0 in softball Friday night. Anna Stokes led the Mounties offense with 4 hits and 2 RBIs. Ella Barry pitched a complete game shutout and struck out 10 batters. Barry also hit her second home run of the season.

Southmont defeats Tri-West 9-5 in Sagamore Conference Softball Action Wednesday night. Jenna Grino, Mallory Mason and Catie Himes all had 3 hits. Ella Barry picked up the complete game win.

Southmont defeated Fountain Central 11-1 Thursday. Anna Stokes, Mallory Mason and Kenzie Clate each had two hits. Clate picked up the win, allowing just one hit and no earned runs. The Mounties host Clinton Prairie Friday.

Southmont walked it off 10-9 Friday over Clinton Prairie. Anna Stokes did the honors with a blast over the Leftfielder to score Kenzie Douglas. Kaylee Turner executed a perfect squeeze a player earlier to score Jayden Dagley and tie the score.

Southmont defeated North Montgomery 9-3 Saturday. Anna Stokes had 3 hits, and Jenna Grino, Catie Himes, and Ella Barry had 2 hits each. Barry had the win in the circle with a 4-hit complete game. Barry struck out 12 batters. The Mounties are now 8-3 and have won 6 in a row.

Southmont defeated Covington 20-4 Monday night. Kendall Priebe and Anna Stokes both had home Runs for the Mounties. Kenzie Clate picked up the win with a complete game. The Mounties are now 9-3 and host Crawfordsville Tuesday at 5:30 pm.

Southmont’s Varsity Softball game against Crawfordsville tonight has been moved to Crawfordsville and will begin at 6 pm. Tomorrow’s game against Crawfordsville will be at Southmont and will begin at 5:30 pm

Southmont defeated Lebanon 8-3 Tuesday night in Conference Play. Anna Stokes, Kenzie Clate, Mallory Mason, and Kenzie Douglas each had 2 hits in the Mounties’ 13-hit attack. Ella Barry picked in the complete game win, striking out 7. Barry also homered.

Southmont Softball team members who will graduate with honors diplomas were honored tonight. They are Lillie Taylor, Anna Stokes, Mallory Mason, Catie Himes, and Charlotte Garver. Congratulations.

Southmont defeated Lebanon 12-6 Thursday to improve to 14-7 on the season. Ella Barry had two home runs, and Mallory Mason and Catie Himes also hit homers. Mason had 3 hits, Barry, Anna Stokes, Himes, Jayden Dagley, Kenzie Clate and Kendall Priebe all had two hits.

Southmont lost to South Putnam 2-0 in a hard fought Sectional contest Tuesday. Anna Stokes had the Mounties’ only hit. Ella Barry pitched a 6-hitter, struck out 7 and allowed only one earned run. Southmont finishes 15-10.
