Molecular belts can go SUPERCOILED! We’ve nailed a 24-benzene and 24-thiophene fused molecular belt with a plectonemic geometry. Honored to contribute to this exciting work with Prof. Jiaobing Wang. onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/an…

Just cleaned up the code and created more animations. I have to say most periodic solutions are not visually appealing—they look like a tangled mess. Only a few solutions exhibit orbits with aesthetic beauty.

Excited to present our artwork 😎 depicting a formally divalent terbium bis(amide) complex which exhibits slow magnetic relaxation 🧲. It got selected for the Front Cover! Thanks much! Link to the paper: pubs.acs.org/doi/full/10.10…… Demir Group MSU Chemistry ACS Publications

Excited to share our artwork, selected as the Front Cover of a recent issue of Angewandte Chemie, depicting an N5 anion decomposing inside a molecular cage, travelling a time tunnel.

Excited to share our latest work now out in Chem! A functionnalized CD that moves unidirectionally by actively opening the way in only one direction. Huge thanks to Enxu LIU and all the team! sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

Happy to share the last chapter of my thesis’s story, where we have functionalized little ‘scissors’ on one side of the cyclodextrin to help it to cut boundaries and move forward on a linear track. Sincere appreciation to the reviewers for their kind suggestions!
