New parts! Swapped out the Gen 3 Toshiba 512Gb Nvme for a Gen 4 Crucial 2Tb Nvme and replaced the Arctic 11 LP CPU Cooler for a more substantial Thermalright Assassin X 120 Refined SE Plus.

Super clean build. In this latest project, we're pairing an Intel 4th gen i7 with an AMD RX 590. Stress testing has shown it to be a rock solid 1080p gaming machine achieving 60 FPS on medium to high settings in games like Counterstrike 2 and Wukong.

Replaced that nasty Intel stock cooler with a #thermalright Assassin X 90 SE CPU cooler. That’s this build now complete and another new Windows 10 PC is born from re-used parts! We’ll likely put this great-looking 1080p Gaming PC up for sale at a little under £300. #linuxready

First post-Christmas build. Bit of a beast this one: Ryzen 5 9600x CPU, Gigabyte 650m mobo, 32Gb 6000 m/t RAM, Radeon 7800XT GPU, 1 Tb NVME. Thermally stable and cool given the Arctic 240 AIO. A gaming and productivity powerhouse. Happy customer #newyearnewpc

Started a new job in December, so I've not been here for a while. Latest tech project has been this #raspberrypi 5 based desktop for my computer building trolley. With 8Gb RAM and a 256Gb NVME, this replaces it's well used Raspberry Pi 4 predecessor.

Ah, that's better. I'm back on #iPhone baby! Having tried a very good #Android phone for the last 3 months, there are just too many compromises - especially when all of your immediate family are iOS users. Happy days.

Parts are landing for our first #PCBuild in a while. Our trusty 9th-gen i7 #FlightSim rig is about to get a serious upgrade—with a Ryzen 9000 series CPU at the helm. More to come…

Oh wow, this is a game changer: Ryzen 5 9600x CPU, Asus TUF B650m mobo, 32Gb 6000Mhz RAM, Radeon RX 7700XT GPU and 2Tb Gen4 NVME. #MSFS has never looked or performed so well. A quick tidy up and she’s ready to go. Now where shall I go today?

I'm a big fan of reusing and repurposing preloved computing kit. This Fujitsu UK Esprimo from eBay has been upgraded with salvaged parts: i7 9700 CPU, 32Gb RAM, a 500Gb NVME plus 4x 1Tb SSDs. With the latest version of TrueNAS Open Storage, this is our new home lab server. < £80 all in.

When you realise it’s time to ditch your powerline Ethernet network (running at 117 Mbps) for your newly installed WiFi 6E mesh 🤓
