During the 10th World Water Forum, the Executive Secretary of AMCOW Dr Rashid Mbaziira met with the Moroccan Minister of Technology and #Water, Nizar Baraka, congratulated him on the Kingdom’s election into AMCOW’s Organs for 2025-2027. They discussed other strategic issues.

⁦⁦AMCOW⁩ organised its 2024 West Africa Sub-Regional Consultation on Monday, 10 June, 2024. The meeting reviewed the status on implementation of the decisions of 2023’s Consultation and the 13th General Assembly of AMCOW

During the consultation, member states of West Africa held a closed door session to elect countries who will represent the region in AMCOW’s organs in the period 2025-2027. Elected countries will be endorsed during the 14 General Assembly of AMCOW.

As part of the two day consultation, the host country, Republic of Senegal treated the delegates to field visits to SEN Eau in Dakar to see Senegal’s urban water management platform, a state-of-the-art #watertreatment plant and the Renaissance monuments to see the whole of Dakar
