how to summon a developer

If you are reviewing a PR and it's not two lines of code, if you want to create value for your team: 1. Check out the branch on your local. 2. Review the new code without checking what exactly was changed. This enables completely different mental faculties.

I started training on HackerRank after failing a technical interview. Am I just angry, or are the coding practices out there insanely bad? Using EventEmitter to write a crawler? Who in their right mind would choose event emitters over async/await for this scenario?
