Did you know? Cerebral Palsy effects muscles from big to small. Cerebral Palsy distorts messages from the brain to cause increased muscle tension (called hypertonus) or reduced muscle tension (called hypotonus). #CerebralPalsyAwarenessMonth

Did you know? Cerebral Palsy can range from minimal to profound, depending on the damage to the brain. It can range from weakness in one hand, to an almost complete lack of voluntary movement requiring 24 hour care. #CerebralPalsyAwarenessMonth

PRIVATE MEDICINE IS NOT THE SOLUTION! It is extravagant, inequitable and easily leads to over treatment. Socialised healthcare systems like the NHS work fine in Scandinavia. The problem with the NHS is the Tory Party, not the principle of tax-funded equal medical treatment for all

Following tragedy in Seoul. Anyone done realistic planning on how a crowded ED responds to a major incident? Where do you move the large numbers of patients waiting for a bed? (“Out of the ED” is not an adequate response- where to and who looks after them?).

Long ambulance response times and their devastating impacts on patients and families are frequently in the news. We wanted to get behind the stats and take a whole system view. A🧵based on our new analysis, which featured in a powerful ITV report last night . 1/13

So, Steve Barclay has suggested to the media today that giving nurses pay rises will "take money away from frontline NHS services". NURSES ARE FRONTLINE NHS SERVICES.

Howard Beckett (@beckettunite) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Nurses work 12hr shifts; sell their days off; use food banks; pay £1300 a year to park. And 40,000 have left their jobs in a year. Tory MPs sit for 150 days; get subsidised food; claim travel & energy on expenses; get free parking & £2,200 pay rises. Back the nurses please.

Howard Beckett (@beckettunite) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Tories gave nurses a £1,400 pay rise at the same time as reintroducing car parking fees of £1,300 per year. Those same Tory MPs gave themselves a £2,200 pay rise and get their car parking for free. Hypocrites.
